Weather notifications are available from our Weather Message Server by way of the Pushover App. Notifications are available for the geographic areas that are based on the Council of Government (COG) Regions.
You can use either the Pushover phone app or a web browser to receive notifications. The app is available from both the Apple Store and the Google Play Store. Both the app and web browser versions are configured by subscribing to a topic via the link buttons below.
What notifications will you be receiving?
- Area Forecast Discussion (AFD) – is a product from the local NWS office, for the media and emergency management. This product contains Key Messages regarding the weather for both the short- and long-term period (today and the next 5-7 days).
- Severe Weather Warnings – includes warnings issued for Flash Flooding, Severe Thunderstorms, and Tornado Warnings.
- Winter Weather Notifications – includes watches, warnings, and advisories issued for Blizzards, Blowing Snow, Freezing Rain, Heavy Snow, Ice Storms, Lake Effect Snow, Lake Effect Blowing Snow, Sleet, Snow, Snow and Blowing Snow, Wind Chill, Winter Storm, and Winter Weather.
- Space Weather - alerts, watches, and warnings are available under the NOAA-SPACE topic.
Note: Subscriptions from this form will NOT appear in your Pushover subscriptions dashboard. WX5FWD Pushover group subscriptions will be managed via this form in the future. We urge Pushover dashboard subscribers to unsubscribe on the Pushover dashboard, and re-subscribe subscriptions using this form.

SMS text messages and email are not supported.
Due to the cost and delivery issues, we do not offer notifications over SMS text messaging or email. Only the Pushover application is supported.
