A HUGE Thank You for 2015!!

To all of our WX5FWD Skywarn colleagues

We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to host many of you at today's Skywarn Recognition Day!!

On behalf of everyone at WFO Fort Worth, I just want to thank you for the enormous contribution that you made to our warning mission in 2015. We had many days of severe weather and flooding this year, and your communications between us and the field helped us save lives and property, time and time again.

Many of you made huge personal sacrifices of time (and money) in order to answer the call from us. I believe Mike told us today that the group had racked up over 500 hours of operation this year. In particular, it seems like you guys practically lived with us during the months of April and May. We are so fortunate to have such an incredibly dedicated group of volunteer communication professionals to work with here at WFO Fort Worth.

Thank you again, from each of us. We wish all of you the best during this holiday season, and hope that health and prosperity remains with you throughout the new year.

With very, very best wishes,

Tom and the WFO Fort Worth team
